My goal as a teacher is to create an environment that encourages inquiry, experimentation and a sense of ensemble. Wherever possible, I arrange my courses to combine performance, design, technical work and directing.

Those are the fun things that draw kids in, but to my mind they are really just tools toward developing the real skills of theatre: collaboration, perseverance, and empathy.
